Who will crown himself as the successor of Dylan Groenewegen?
On Wednesday, April 16, the peloton will arrive in Hasselt for a new edition of the Ronde van Limburg. In addition to its new place among the spring classics, the Limburg classic will also feature a new finish in Tongeren-Borgloon. The successor to Dylan Groenewegen will be crowned on Elisabethwal. Discover the provisional start list below.
Kolonel Dusartplein in Hasselt is the epicenter for the start of the Ronde van Limburg. The fans can meet the riders there from 11:45 during the team presentation. At 13:00, the peloton will then dive into Haspengouw for a 178 km ride featuring 9 climbs and 8 cobbled sectors.
The riders will start with a loop in and around the Village of the Ronde Bilzen-Hoeselt, where they will tackle the cobbles of Maastrichterallee and the elevation of Keiberg twice. Then, the final begins with three laps on what was called the "Limburg Loop" during the 2024 European Championships. On this loop, the riders will first face Kolmontberg and Zammelenberg before bouncing over the cobbles of Manshoven and Op de Kriezel.
After the final passage over Op de Kriezel, there are still 12 km remaining towards Tongeren-Borgloon, where the successor of Dylan Groenewegen will be crowned around 17:15 on Elisabethwal.
